“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
Every person who has ever lived has been carefully made by God. As a result, we all feel a strong desire to connect with our Creator. Here at Whitefield Baptist Church, we believe that our “Creator” is the God of the Bible. He has made a way for us to be reconciled to him -in spite of ourselves- and we are always grateful of how He loves us. We express our gratitude for this free gift -called “Salvation”- through worship. When you have much to be thankful for, worship is not a burden… but a desire. Here are some of the ways Christians worship God:
Everyone uses their time for something… the question is: Are you spending your days doing things that will have a lasting impact on a world that doesn’t know God? As we seek to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Missions and Discipleship, it is the time spent by our ministry volunteers that becomes their spiritual acts of worship.
We have all been richly blessed by God. In fact, everything we have belongs to Him because it was provided by Him. We give of our earthly wealth because we are following the example of God Himself, who gave up His son Jesus… who gave up His life for us. As we give, we worship.
